When Theodore entrusted us with his Akoni Europa from Ohio, he wasn't looking to change the frame. He wanted lenses that respected the same level of precision and craftsmanship that made him choose Akoni in the first place.
That responsibility shaped every decision that followed.
Completing the Design
The Akoni Europa already speaks with quiet confidence.
Architectural. Balanced. Purposeful.
The lenses needed to do exactly the same.
Rather than introducing unnecessary colour or excessive contrast, we created a bespoke progressive lens design with a light blue gradient that gently softens the world indoors while preserving the clean, contemporary character of the frame.
Outdoors, the design evolves naturally.
Indigo Marma Dinamica photochromic technology deepens the colour as light changes, transforming the lenses into a rich sunglass while maintaining exceptional visual comfort.
To complete the design, we introduced a subtle red flash mirror.
Almost invisible indoors.
Only revealing itself when sunlight catches the lenses at exactly the right angle.
Luxury often lives in details that aren't immediately seen.

The finely machined titanium temples perfectly capture Akoni's engineering philosophy.
Every surface, every line and every transition has been considered.
Our role wasn't to compete with that craftsmanship.
