LUXURY REGLAZING

Already Own Your Glasses?

Many of the clients who commission Lens Art® already own the frame they love.

Whether your eyewear is an AHLEM, Jacques Marie Mage, Cartier, Chrome Hearts, Matsuda, DITA, Parasite or another exceptional frame, our luxury reglazing service allows you to replace the existing lenses with a completely bespoke photochromic lens composition.

Rather than selecting a standard photochromic lens, every commission is individually designed around your prescription, lifestyle, colour preferences and the way you want the finished eyewear to perform.

We regularly create bespoke custom tinted photochromic lenses using premium technologies including Marma Dinamica®, Transitions®, Transitions® XTRActive, ZEISS PhotoFusion X and ZEISS PhotoFusion X AdaptiveSun.

Every custom tinted photochromic commission begins with our Luxury Reglazing service before the lenses are individually designed around your frame, prescription and lifestyle.

The frame stays the same.
Everything you experience through it changes.

COLOUR THAT EVOLVES WITH LIGHT

More Than a Standard Photochromic Lens

Most photochromic lenses are designed to react to changing light.

Lens Art® takes the concept further.

Rather than simply selecting a photochromic lens, we design bespoke combinations around your frame, prescription, lifestyle and the visual experience you want to create.

Depending on the visual experience you're looking to create, we may recommend Marma Dinamica, Transitions® or ZEISS PhotoFusion X, each offering different strengths when combined with bespoke custom tints.

Because exceptional eyewear deserves more than a standard lens.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I replace the lenses in my own glasses with custom tinted photochromic lenses?

Yes.

Lens Art® specialises in luxury reglazing for clients who already own exceptional eyewear.

We can replace the original lenses in many designer, vintage, rimless and collector frames with bespoke custom tinted photochromic lenses individually designed around your prescription and lifestyle.

Depending on your requirements, we regularly work with Marma Dinamica, Transitions, Transitions® XTRActive, ZEISS PhotoFusion X and ZEISS PhotoFusion X AdaptiveSun, often combining these technologies with bespoke custom tints, premium coatings and flash mirrors.

Can I have custom tinted Transitions® lenses?

Yes.

Lens Art® can create bespoke lens compositions that combine Transitions® photochromic technology with carefully designed custom tints, allowing the lenses to retain subtle colour indoors before naturally adapting outdoors.

Every commission is individually designed around your frame, prescription and intended visual experience, ensuring the tint, photochromic technology and finishing all work together as one composition.

Can I have custom tinted Marma Dinamica lenses?

Yes.

Marma Dinamica has become one of our most requested adaptive lens technologies because it combines exceptionally well with bespoke custom tints.

Unlike many conventional photochromic lenses, Dinamica allows Lens Art® to create expressive adaptive lens compositions where permanent indoor colour, outdoor activation and premium finishing are all designed together.

Every commission is individually composed around the wearer rather than selected from a catalogue.

Can ZEISS PhotoFusion X be combined with a custom tint?

In some cases, yes, but it depends on the specific PhotoFusion X product and the lens manufacturing process.

Standard ZEISS PhotoFusion X lenses are supplied in predetermined adaptive colours. While bespoke tinting may be possible in certain situations, it is not as widely available or flexible as some alternative technologies.

For clients seeking a wider range of custom colour possibilities, ZEISS PhotoFusion X AdaptiveSun provides an excellent solution, combining adaptive performance with stylish sunglass-inspired colours.

During your Lens Art® consultation, we'll recommend the most suitable technology based on your prescription, chosen frame and the visual experience you're looking to create.

Can photochromic lenses be combined with flash mirrors?

Yes.

Many Lens Art® commissions combine adaptive photochromic technologies with premium flash mirrors to create bespoke lens compositions that change beautifully throughout the day.

Depending on the design, Marma Dinamica, ZEISS PhotoFusion X and other adaptive technologies can often be combined with carefully selected flash mirrors to enhance both the appearance and the finished visual experience.

Which Marma Dinamica® colour should I choose?

There isn't one colour that's best for everyone.

Some clients prefer the subtle elegance of Grey or Brown, while others choose expressive colours such as Jade Green, Blue Ocean, Indigo, Pink Rio or Amaranth.

The most appropriate colour depends on your frame, prescription, lifestyle and how you want the lenses to appear both indoors and outdoors.

Every Lens Art® recommendation is individually designed rather than selected from a catalogue.

What is the difference between a standard photochromic lens and a Lens Art® Signature design?

Yes.

Lens Art® regularly reglazes clients' own eyewear using Marma Dinamica photochromic lenses.

Many commissions combine Dinamica with bespoke gradients, custom tints, flash mirrors and premium coatings to create completely original adaptive lens compositions while preserving the client's existing frame.

Can you create progressive or varifocal photochromic lenses?

Yes. Custom tinted photochromic designs can be created using single vision, relaxed-focus, occupational and progressive lens designs, subject to the prescription, frame and chosen technology.

Can I send my frame from outside the UK?

Yes. We work with clients throughout the UK and internationally. The process begins with a remote consultation, followed by guidance on securely sending your frame to The Optical Gallery.

Which photochromic technology is best?

There isn't one photochromic technology that's best for everyone.

Some clients benefit most from Marma Dinamica, while others are better suited to Transitions®, Transitions® XTRActive or ZEISS PhotoFusion X.

The most appropriate choice depends on your prescription, lifestyle, frame, colour preferences and how you want the finished lenses to perform.

At Lens Art®, the technology is selected only after understanding the complete visual experience you want to create.
