ALREADY HAVE THE FRAME?

Your Rimless Eyewear Can Be Reimagined

You don't need to have purchased your eyewear from The Optical Gallery.

Lens Art® works with existing rimless and drill-mounted eyewear from clients throughout the UK and internationally.

Whether your frame is Cartier, Anna-Karin Karlsson, Chrome Hearts, Jacques Marie Mage or another exceptional design, we can assess the existing architecture and explore what becomes possible with a completely new lens composition.

That may mean faithfully recreating the original lense, or using the existing frame as the starting point for a new lens shape, colour, edge treatment or decorative detail.

Prescription and non-prescription commissions are available, subject to the suitability and condition of the frame.

Preserve the frame. Reconsider the lens.

  • Bespoke Lens Shapes

Recreate an original rimless silhouette or explore completely new proportions designed around the architecture of the frame.

  • Decorative Faceting

Introduce carefully positioned facets that interact with light and add another physical dimension to the lens.

  • Diamond-Cut Detailing

Selected prescription and non-prescription lenses can incorporate bespoke engraved details as part of the finished Lens Art® composition.

  • Custom Colour

Solid colours, gradients and bespoke tint combinations can be designed around the frame, materials and person wearing it.

  • Adaptive Lenses

Photochromic technologies including Marma Dinamica, Transitions® and ZEISS PhotoFusion X can allow the character of the eyewear to evolve with changing light.

A LENS ART® INTERPRETATION

The Claw

Anna-Karin Karlsson · Limited Edition 60/60

The Anna-Karin Karlsson Claw arrived with round lenses.

We didn't treat that shape as a limitation.

For Chris's third Lens Art® commission, the original rimless architecture became the starting point for an entirely new lens silhouette.

The redesigned shape changed the proportions of the eyewear while preserving the extraordinary claw hardware that defines the frame.

The finished composition combines bespoke rimless lens shaping, decorative upper faceting, a graduated smoky-grey tint and Marma Dinamica Grey photochromic technology.

Same frame.

A completely different interpretation.

LENS CRAFTSMANSHIP

Designed In Fractions Of Millimetres

Rimless lens design demands precision because small decisions remain visible.

Lens shape, drill position, edge thickness, facet depth, engraving placement and final finishing must work together with the existing hardware.

Lens Art® approaches these elements as part of one composition rather than isolated manufacturing steps.

CARTIER RIMLESS EYEWEAR

Custom Lenses For Cartier Rimless Glasses

Cartier rimless eyewear provides an exceptional canvas for bespoke lens design.

Lens Art® can reglaze suitable Cartier rimless frames with prescription or non-prescription lenses while preserving the original frame architecture.

Depending on the individual frame and commission, possibilities can include custom lens shapes, graduated and solid tints, photochromic technologies, decorative faceting, diamond-cut detailing, polished edges and bespoke lens engraving.

We can recreate the character of the original lenses or explore an entirely new interpretation designed around the Cartier frame and the person wearing it.

Every frame is assessed individually before work begins.

BEYOND A SINGLE BRAND

Exceptional Rimless Eyewear

The principles of bespoke rimless lens design extend far beyond one maker.

Lens Art® works with exceptional and collector eyewear from designers including Cartier, Anna-Karin Karlsson, Chrome Hearts, Jacques Marie Mage and other specialist manufacturers.

What matters isn't the logo on the temple.

It's whether the frame presents an opportunity to create something worth preserving, and something worth reimagining.

Shape, Colour And Light

Physical craftsmanship is only part of the composition.

A newly designed rimless silhouette can be combined with custom colour, gradients, photochromic technologies, flash mirrors and carefully selected coatings.

This means the lens can change not only the appearance of the frame, but the visual atmosphere experienced by the person wearing it.

Lens Art® considers both.

How the lens is seen.
And how the world is seen through it.

QUESTIONS WE'RE OFTEN ASKED

Frequently Asked Questions About Luxury Rimless Eyewear Reglazing

Can you replace the lenses in rimless glasses?

Yes. Lens Art® can reglaze suitable rimless and drill-mounted eyewear with new prescription or non-prescription lenses. We can recreate the existing lens shape or, where appropriate, explore a completely new bespoke silhouette.

Can you change the shape of my rimless lenses?

In many rimless designs, yes. Because the lenses form part of the structure of the eyewear, changing their shape can significantly alter the finished appearance. Suitability depends on the frame architecture, drill positions, prescription and lens material.

Can prescription lenses be faceted?

Selected prescription lenses can incorporate decorative faceting where the lens design, material, thickness and frame allow. Each commission is assessed individually before the facet design is finalised.

What are diamond-cut lenses?

Diamond-cut detailing refers to precision decorative finishing applied to selected lens edges or surfaces to create additional visual structure and interaction with light. The exact technique depends on the lens and intended design.

Can you engrave prescription lenses?

Selected prescription and non-prescription lenses can incorporate bespoke engraving. The possibilities depend on lens material, prescription, coatings, engraving position and the intended design, so engraving is considered as part of the complete commission.

Can you reglaze Cartier rimless glasses?

Yes, subject to assessment of the individual frame. Lens Art® works with suitable Cartier rimless eyewear and can explore replacement prescription lenses, custom shapes, tints, photochromics, faceting, diamond-cut detailing and engraving.

Can rimless lenses be custom tinted?

Yes. Depending on lens material and prescription, rimless lenses can be created with solid colours, gradients and bespoke tint compositions.

Can rimless glasses have photochromic lenses?

Yes, where technically suitable. Lens Art® works with photochromic technologies including Marma Dinamica®, Transitions® and ZEISS PhotoFusion X, with selected commissions also combining adaptive technology with custom colour.

Can I send my rimless glasses from outside the UK?

Yes. Lens Art® works with UK and international clients through remote consultation. We discuss the project and assess suitability before arranging for the frame to be sent to us.
